Woodlands Folk Festival w/Sonny Meadows and Greg Greenway 2012

The 4th Annual Woodlands Folk Festival will come to the woods of Setauket on June 29th! In addition to the long awaited performance of Joe Crookston, the newly enlarged once known as The Tres Amigos, now The Amigos Band and Annie Mark and Chris James; WFF will present for the first time anywhere CB Jacobs and the Soul Fire Revival!! BTW, if any of you have had trouble with a Rally On! CD that you purchased, please bring it to the next show and I will exchange it for a new one. It turns out that there was a manufacturing defect on my CDs which sometimes renders them unusable in front loading disc drives. DiscMakers has made good and replaced my entire order.

September is a busy month for gigs. It began this past Sunday with Bradstock. Very fun set with just me and Trombone, the incredible Mr. Hubbard. I think we're starting to trend with these slimmed down ensembles with just guitar and brass. What can I say, brass and brass go together....!   Four more gigs in September, check out the tour page. I so look forward to seeing ya'll out somewhere. Fall is Grand!

Another Woodlands has been put to bed. My set with Greg Galluccio on Guitar, Me and Tristan Eggener on Tuba was very special, and seemed to be well received! The whole set was planned around the tuba which gave even Dr. Tuba a renewed love of the instrument. It included two new songs, covers: Ain't no sunshine and Aretha Franklin's Baby I love You. I will post videos shortly so you can share in the joy!

Christine Lavin has joined the artists roster and will be joined by Greg Greenway, Claudia Jacobs and many more for an All-Star Woodlands Tribute to Woody Guthrie in honor of his Centennial. RELEASE DATE SET!   On March 22, 2012 the new Claudia Jacobs Band CD Rally On! will be released and celebrated at the University Cafe in Stony Brook. It's a fantastic venue and they're so pleased to make it the home of this special event. Lots of guests and friends will be joing Claudia and "The Boys" as they share songs of her musical influences and off the new CD!    The concert will begin at 8:00. There is a suggested donation of $10 with a portion of the proceeds going to Iris House for Women with Aids.
